Abstract

The sailfish catfishes Pterygoplichthys pardalis and P. disjunctivus are reported in new localities in Southeastern Mexico. The specimens were collected in the rivers San Pedro and Palizada in the State of Campeche in December 2007. These are the first record of P. disjunctivus in Mexico and P. pardalis in Campeche.
