Abstract

The histological structure of the Chirostoma humboldtianum testis on different gonad maturity stages is described. The pattern corresponds to the type known as restricted spermatogonial testis. The development of the germ cells takes place at the same time in the cysts, these are surrounding by the Sertoli cell. Inside testis tubules the cysts present an asynchronic development. Mature cysts are located in efferent ducts. Mature stages are anatomical and histological compared in relation with year seasons and specimens age.
