Abstract

In this research the abiotic parameters an primary productivity were evaluated in  San José Manialtepec lagoon. This ecosystem is mainly a heterotrophic system, because the respiratory and degradation process dominate over the productive ones. The results show that the trophic web begins with the organic mater mater descomposition in the sediemnts; and the detritus biogeocheical processes represents the main energy sourde to the ecosystm. These lagoon represents This lagoon presents ogns of eutrophication, caused by a constant nitrient inout in the laggoon. On the other hand, all the primary productivity generated by the high nutrient quiantity is consumed in situ.
