Abstract

The utilization of compounded feed in intensive aquaculture permits to obtain adequate yields in the production of aquatic organisms; however the management of the feeding supply must be apropiated in order to reduce waste and mantain costs at the minimum level. In this way a number of factors should be considered, these factors range from the knowledge of the energetic requirements of the organisms, to the quantity, feeding frequency and food distribution. And these should be associated to the feed quality and the species being cultivated.
